I managed to install python 2.6 and Medicore on my VPS with Cpanel on it and run it without any error, it wasn't easy since I'm not a linux expert but I managed.
when I enter url:8080 it seems to work.
but when I enter only url I get "Internal Server Error", I'm not sure how to make it work without adding :8080
any help is appreciated

Right now you are running mediacore with the Built-in server.
If you're using a VPS, i'm also assuming that you have root access to your slice. I managed to get up and running fairly quickly using mod_wsgi using those instructions. I've found the performance with mod_wsgi to be a little better than using mod_fastcgi.
thank you schmiddy for your reply, you pushed me to the right direction.
although I done the mod_wsgi production deployment part before I posted my first post but it seem I did not do the permission part right, not sure what I have done before but after chown the folders the site worked right away with no errors.
