   I've successfully installed and tested Mediacore on Ubuntu 10.04 with the built in paster server and a deployment.ini file, and I can access the system without any problems using an IP address.

   I'm now trying to configure the system so that it works with an Apache VirtualHost so that i can access the system @ http://mediacore.domain.tld. I see that there's documentation for using mod_fastcgi and mod_wsgi but I can't get either of these methods to properly work.

   Has anyone successfully setup Mediacore + Ubuntu 10.04 + Apache and served it up using a subdomain such as http://mediacore.domain.tld? If so, what are the exact steps involved.

   Any help is much appreciated.

   I was able to get this working using Apache as a reverse proxy. For anyone who's interested in this approach, here's what I did...

   sudo a2enmod proxy
   sudo a2enmod proxy_http

   Modified deployment.ini
   host = 127.0.0.1

   Created an Apache VirtualHost and restarted Apache
   <VirtualHost *:80>
   ServerAdmin webmaster@domain.tld

   ServerName mediacore.domain.tld

   ProxyPass / http://127.0.0.1:8080/
   ProxyPassReverse / http://127.0.0.1:8080/
   ProxyPreserveHost On
   <Proxy *>
   Order deny,allow
   Allow from all
   </Proxy>

   ErrorLog /var/log/apache2/mediacore.domain.tld-error.log

   # Possible values include: debug, info, notice, warn, error, crit,
   # alert, emerg.
   LogLevel warn

   CustomLog /var/log/apache2/mediacore.domain.tld-access.log combined

   </VirtualHost>

   I can now access the URL http://mediacore.domain.tld successfully. I have yet to test the entire system however.

   I didn't try Apache but Nginx via uWSGI socket works just fine
