Hello,
I like to install mediacore on debian system.
After Step 5. I like to start the server I get this
Starting subprocess with file monitor
Starting server in PID 11629.
serving on http://127.0.0.1:8080
But if I like to go in my browser to this link nothing happend. (change the 127.0.0.1 with the right external server IP)
Some ideas whats is wrong?
Step 5 is regarding using it on a local box, as you're pointing to your localhost, if you want to use it in a production environment you need to follow through setting up a deployment config and either going through fast cgi or wsgi.
To clarify: it's actually possible to serve to remote hosts via Paster (the default, development server). It's just disabled by default. By default, with the "development.ini" config, you are only able to access the site at http://127.0.0.1:8080/.
If you're using development.ini, it includes a section that looks like the following:
[server:main]
use = egg:Paste#http
host = 127.0.0.1
port = 8080This prevents connections from anything but the address http://127.0.0.1:8080/
The solution is to create a production configuration (deployment.ini). Then use "deployment.ini" rather than "development.ini" to launch the server.
