Hello there,
first of all - awesome work on application, now simple questions:
1. Can I disable adding Youtube, VIMEO etc services, box at UPLOAD section?
2. What happens, after user uploads mp4, mov etc file? is Mediacore capable of encoding it into flv? or is plugin mandatory? is self-encoding feature planned?
3. Can MediaCore support JW player plugins? for example pre-roll, mid-roll etc advertising?

2. Actually in any new MediaCore instance there should be a workflow video which explains this. Basically MediaCore does not do any encoding itself. So there is the PandaStream Encoding Plugin which can do this. If you look through the forum/blog it was mentioned that some support (probably based on ffmpeg) will be included but I'm not sure about the priority.
3. For Player plugins basically you need to create your own player plugin to mediacore (see official docs and my sample player blog post).

You can remove or disable the YouTube storage engine in the Admin > Settings > Storage Engines panel, along with all the Vimeo and all the others. Leave nothing but the Local File Storage engine if you just want to allow file uploads.
Unfortunately even if you remove all those storage engines and no URL can be added successfully, the "add URL" field still displays. We'll be addressing this in a future release.
