Maybe someone can point me in the right direction - I wanted to add the code for an apple icon to the main page so when added to an iphone/ipad it gets a specific icon rather than just a thumbnail of the screen.
Its a simple link code in the header but not sure A if its possible and B which file I would need to add it to?

You can add a web clip to your mediacore site by including the following in your header.
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="/path/to/icon.png"/>
Make sure your icon is sized 114x114 for for the retina display and half that for the non retina versions.
Is that editable from the admin side or need to add to a template file? (sorry do not have access to server at the moment to check)

hmmm I added it in the custom header section on the admin interface, but when I looked at the page source the code is actually showing up under <body> rather than <head> thus will not work
Are you using the cloud platform or the open source version?

Seems to be working now though but the code is still 'officially' in the wrong place but never mind as long as it works :D
