How Mediacore CE categories system works? Does it support one file in several categories?

I want to use Mediacore to organize small video library (about 100 titles) (I know there is an easier way but I want to use Mediacore):
*Can Mediacore stream unconverted files? What if most of this files have different resolutions (from 240p to 720p/1080p) and mostly encoded in h264 and xvid?
*Can I batch load all these files with all needed info (description and category/tag)?

Does Mediacore support unicode/cyrillic? Does it require additional manipulations (specific DB codepage, etc)?

Sorry if that question already asks. Would appreciate any help!
