Hi, I recently downloaded and installed your CMS to give it a look and maybe in the future use it for a sports website. The idea is to host videos on Youtube but see them within the page, keeping them categorized and such.

The problem is no matter what videos I add, even if they use the HTML5 player when I see them in the YOutube page, when I add them onto the CMS, the website always uses the flash player, so if I enter the page from my Android tablet the videos don't show. But I've seen embeded videos on forums hosted on Youtube that use the HTML5 player, so I think that's doable.

Is there any ways to make them use the Youtube HTML 5 player?

Trying to add different types of videos and sources to test mediacore out but whenever I add a youtube url it just says it cannot add it.

I assume it wants the link you get from the 'embed' code youtube gives you? I tried both that and the normal url anyway but still just says cannot add it.

swamyg1 on "Embed dimensions for Youtube Vids"

I'm getting some odd behavior when trying to embed Youtube vids. The detault embed dimensions are 385px x 210px... however when I look in my iframe code in the source it shows 400px x 235px. I can't figure out why this is happening, and I can't find a way to override the styles through CSS or any other method.

The result leaves a black gap along the right and bottom of the embed player.

The code I'm using is here:

The result that renders inside the embed code is here:

Has anybody else experienced this?

Hi,
When I upload a Youtube or Vimeo video I keep getting the "encoding pending" message.
What is wrong?

Just to clarify, this is an image of what I am talking about: http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/5228/publishstatus.png

Thanks!

--

Do I need to manually add thumbnails for YouTube/Google/Vimeo embeds or is there an automatic thumbnail import option/hack?

cheers
